you feel better now?

My Acorn is becoming wonderfully conscientious. She has great empathy. She notices anything new, especially if it pertains to me. When I trimmed my bangs she noticed right away. When I got new glasses she commented, and calls them my "christmas glasses" because of when I got them.
We, like a lot of our town, fell ill with a stomach virus. Luckily, Acorn and Mr. Seeds had it on a different day then me. I was able to care for them, do laundry, etc.
Anyway, my stomach has been a bit iffy since the bug hit, and is off again today, and Mr. Seeds brought me ginger tea and then Acorn said, "That tea will make you feel better." And I said, "Hopefully." She ran into the kitchen and said, "Mama feels better now!"
She is a greater joy every day. I still get sad, monthly, when we have another cycle pass that we haven't gotten pregnant, but she helps cheer me within moments.
Honestly, there are days I enjoy her so much I feel ready to move past trying. But, the thought of her having a sibling, someone to share life with for a long time, that keeps me hoping, trying and even juggling finances, trying to figure a way to do one more big(IVF) try.

  1. Glad to hear things are going so well. People talk about the 'terrible twos' but I think they are wonderful. The kids are so inquisitive and eager to learn. Funny, smart, stubborn and independent. Having twins myself, I can understand why you'd want a sibling for Acorn.

Keeping you in my thoughts. I hope it all works out.
