The nursery

This had been the week of the nursery. We painted on the weekend(and man, a 90 yr old house has some bumpy walls and trim!) and I started the fun part: painting trees on the walls, on Monday. I finished yesterday, and I love it so so much!

Also, in the 'it takes a village' mindset, we had 2 brothers, with both their girlfriends, and one neighbor help, on various days, as well as a friend who came over the summer to help clear(the room was basically a storage area for years) and help plan. I love that I can look around the room and see where each person helped. I hogged the fun job, the tree and leaf painting.
So, here are some pics:

Me painting leaves, 36.5 weeks:

Three seasons on Two walls:

  1. Love it! That green is really pretty and your trees are darling! :)

  2. It looks lovely! I can't believe you are so close to the end... sending prayers that the next few weeks go quickly!

  3. I love it! The trees are perfect - simple but beautiful. I can't believe you are so close! Really it could be any day now.

  4. You, your belly, the trees all look wonderful.

Enjoy looking at the room for the next couple weeks. It really makes things sink in.

  5. Beautiful shade of green! The trees are gorgeous - you are talented!!

  6. thank you everyone! I forgot to mention we used harmony paint, which is zero V.O.C., which I highly recommend for nursery painting! (from sherm. willms)

  7. I just love this. I can't wait to meet your little one!! [virtually speaking, since we are on opposite coasts.]
