6 week update

Today we are at 6weeks. Keep growing, baby Lulen!

I get mild cramps, a few times a day, and have lots of worry, and then see no spotting/blood and calm down. Unfortunately, it isn't something I have been able to truly relax about. My miscarriage started with lots of cramping(and then blood) so it makes me uneasy.

But, they did see that my ovaries are still swollen, and there is some fluid in my abdomen, so I am probably going to have some odd feelings going on anyway.

We were supposed to go to a ceili(irish dance) today, but my RE said it is "too active" so we aren't going. We go about every other month, and it feels weird to be not going to the St. Patrick's day one, which is always really festive.

A funny side-effect of being pregnant(really, of being tired, earlier than usual) Mr. S and I have a backlog of shows on Tivo, as we can't get through much, b/c once it is 10pm I get incredibly sleepy.

I am trying to appreciate, every day, that I am pregnant. But, I am not ready to post a ticker as a part of the main blog. So, I'll post one here

  2. Wow - 6 weeks!!

I'm sorry the cramping is so worrisome, and I hope with time some of that fear eases.

Enjoy your relaxing weekend - maybe you can get caught up on the Tivo :)

  3. I too had lots of cramping post BFP - swollen ovaries and lots of fluid. I actually got to the point where I liked the cramping because it let me know my hormone levels were going up as expected.

Then it leveled off at week 11 - that's when I got really nervous (IF takes it outta ya for sure!).

    I'm so happy you're at 6 weeks!

  7. Oh my gosh - I had cramps like crazy through most of my pregnancy, and it was truly stressful, especially in the beginning. I STILL check my tp for blood, just out of habit. I know that hearing it is normal is no comfort, so just know that I am sending lots and lots of love to you and the wee one growing!

  8. Wonderful news, the 6 week mark. I've been thinking about you and Lulen. :-) I love ceili dancing - and if you just went for the music, you know you wouldn't be able to stay in your seat - so better to avoid it all together!

  10. I am so glad your pregnancy is going well! After a miscarriage, it is so hard not to interpret everything as bad, but you seem to be staying really positive. I hope you have a great St. Patrick's day! I will be on my couch, too... no green beer. ;)
